Notable: Photoshop now supports the OT-SVG flavor of color fonts, and ships with some of Adobe's own OT-SVG color fonts.1 -

Although the stroke in VI looks good, losing the points at extrema certainly sucks. FLS 5 did the same thing, as far as I can tell. In any case, I've filed a bug on this for VI, # 872.3 -

Also, Arial was made ~25 years ago, and standards of craftsmanship for diacritics have advanced considerably since then. Without even looking, I'll bet you could find much nicer in the ClearType font…2 -
